What are ACE. XL Slabs made of?

Porcelain slabs are made from 100% natural, refined minerals that are ultra-compacted and fired at temperatures above 1200°C, without the use of chemical resins or binders, unlike engineered stone which uses resin as a binder. The raw ingredients of porcelain slabs include clay, feldspar and sand. 

Why are Architects and Designers specifying porcelain slabs?

Fired at extremely high temperatures, ACE. XL slabs are non-porous, scratch, heat, stain and acid resistant – all impervious to everyday cooking.  An alternative to natural stone, porcelain slabs offer the same veining variation without the maintenance that comes with certain softer natural stones.
